Baseball in an afternoon of sunshine, chants and dried squid.......ok it's a bit different than it is at home.
Early in the season the games are always sold out. If you want to get decent seats you have to get there about three hours early. I hate rush seating. Not only is it impractical and frustrating it's also a fire hazard!
Beside the 1st base is the place to be. You have to get there ridiculously early to get a good seat. These people have no lives. All the die hard fans are there along with the cheerleaders, marriage proposals (who thinks that is a good idea?) and drums....really big ones.
Dried squid. I actually love it....and yet this one needed to be washed......to much sea salt kills the flavour.
I hope everyone notices how great Ste looks in my glasses.
This is the thing to do.....after the 7th inning stretch they pass out these plastic bags. You fill them with air, tie them off and loop the handles over your ears. I'm not surprised this trend has not taken off in North America.
Mariel and Kate joined in the general fun.
I bought a big hat because I burn so easily (thanks dad).....and you know what? I STILL go burned!!!!
Kate enjoyed my hat as well (my suspicion is this contributed to the burning). Rock just enjoyed the woman.

We all had a great time.
