Welcome and Graduation

At the end of February is the end of the school year here in Korea. So we had a busy few weeks when some of our kindy kids "graduated" into our elementary system and when we welcomed our new kindy kids.

Jeff and Felix. Both are very bright kids with huge personalities. This is during the welcoming ceremony.
Graduation. Including caps and gowns! Tim, Shue and Greg from the Mountain class.

The kids were so excited. All of them were given graduation pictures as well as a little diploma.

Myself with Terry and little Vanilla behind me.

Having a bit of fun before everything starts. Jolon, Jeshan and Dave.

There are these flower arrangements that go for any type of celebrations here. One of the parents thought her son was graduating....when really he was just giving a speech.

Andy and I.

Jeshan, myself, Fanta and Ashley.

The graduates filing in.

The opening speech.

The one in the pinstriped suit was the one with the parent that thought he was graduating. He did an excellent job on his portion of the speech though.

The rest of the kindy kids singing their good bye.

Tiffeny "flying".

Albert and Alice.

Steve and a few of his girls. Lucy and Hannah.....Hannah moved to America!

Softball class.

Dr. Fish

Dave and I experienced the wonder of having fish "exfoliate" your feet. Hundreds of little fish attack your feet making it so hard to not squirm for the first minute or so. After that it's just interesting watching who the fish think have dirtier feet.

This is suppose to be very effective for people who have skin problems (not ache). Dr. Fish only come from a special region in Turkey. I guess many spa's are starting to offer them as a treatment.
Just to prove it really is my feet in there!!! Check the tat and you know it's me.
"Oh so we have to wear these than? " It just looks sexy is all.

The apartment

Not quite the hill I lived in last year. Welcome to my semi permanent address in Smile APT. What a wonderful broke down building. What it does have going for it though is space. Cold in the winter and I suspect boiling in the coming months. Maybe it'll be like living in a sauna.

The kitchen. The space is big enough for me to do all of my baking. Hurra for ovens and all that.
The living room. Poorly shot picture but you get the idea. It's just nice having a couch.....or anything other than a bed to sit on. OH, my fav part......windows.....hill apartments are lacking in that area.
Our moldy bathroom. What a pleasure!! But I have a tub.....

This was Steve's present from his Tae Kwon Do instructor for his birthday. It's all of the moves set into pins.

The main bedroom. There is actually quite a bit of space here. Yet again I'm a fan of the windows.
